Weatherford Church of the Nazarene loves kids and families. We have a commitment to provide opportunities to help your kids grow closer to Jesus! The vision that fuels our work in Children's Ministries grows out of Jesus' words in Mark 10:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." In the midst of a consuming ministry to adults, Jesus regularly ministered to children. We believe the future of the church depends on effective ministry to children today.
It is our responsibility to connect a new generation with Jesus Christ giving children HOPE and WHOLENESS and opportunities for WORSHIP and MINISTRY. In the face of twenty-first century challenges, the church must strengthen its commitment to reach every child and family possible, teach them effectively, win them to Christ as early as the Holy Spirit gives opportunity, disciple them, and empower them to be disciple makers.

Kidz Worship - "Amazing Prayer Adventure"
A Sunday morning worship experience which is designed for kids from 1st - 6th grade. Kids enjoy music, media, puppets, Bible instruction and games. Children EXPERIENCE the Bible through activities.
The first Sunday of each month kids participate in the family worship service. In our Kidz Worship we just finished: "Amazing Prayer Adventure" where we focused on different aspects of prayer using the Bible, games, stories, songs, skits - and of course, prayer itself. The next couple of weeks our kids will be rehearsing for the Christmas program during "Kidz Worship Time". Pre-school and Kindergarten age children can join us for "Kinder Worship" during this time.

Bible Quizzing - GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
Children's Quizzing is a Bible study program for children in grades 1-6. The purpose is to teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way, creating a desire and a love for studying the Bible.
Dr. Digalot, "a world famous archeologist," and his sidekick, Canteen the Camel, introduce children to a fun way to study the Bible. This year the children study Genesis. Genesis provides the foundation. Children learn how the world began and that God is the Creator. It explains what sin is and how it began. It introduces God's plan to reconcile the broken relationship between God and people. It introduces major Bible characters such as Adam, Eve, and Noah. The patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) are studied and introduced as the founders of the Israelite people. An oath and covenant between the Lord and Abraham in Genesis 15 becomes a major theme of the rest of the Bible study series. The Lord tells Abraham his descendants would become mistreated strangers in a foreign land. The Lord says He would redeem them and punish their captors. Genesis ends with God’s oath to Abraham unfulfilled. Join Dr Digalot and Canteen for a great adventure!
Children meet on Wednesday evenings (6:30 - 8:00 PM), to practice and memorize the Word of God. They attend 5 quiz meets throughout the school year competing with other churches across Southwest Oklahoma.
